From Winchester to Gorran Haven

10th July 2020

This to let everyone know that Chris completed his mamouth journey which took just over 17 hours arriving at Gorran Haven beach at 7pm.

Many thanks to everyone who turned up on the evening to welcome Chris and to all those who donated via the ‘Just Giving’ page or directly to me. The final total will not be known for a few days yet but the current estimate is around £5k which will be distributed to the Harbour Trust and Local Community Groups.

The amount raised is a brilliant total which reflects a heroic effort on Chris’s part!  The residents of Gorran Haven and its visitors will be the beneficiaries of his achievement in many ways, particularly in the continuing use of the harbour area which the Trust is privileged to administer.
