Winchester to Gorran Haven Cycle Ride
Fund Raising Event – £5571 raised!
Dear Friends,
I wanted to take just a moment to thank you for such a warm and generous reception when I arrived in Gorran Haven at the end of my fundraising cycle on Friday 10th July. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and many news ones as well.
I have to admit, I was a little daunted at the length of the ride; but in the end I arrived in pretty good shape, having been lucky enough to avoid any issues enroute and enjoyed near perfect weather.
In total we raised the grand sum of £5571.71. I cannot thank everyone enough for your kind messages of support and incredible generosity. I know the funds will be put to very good use and I hope will help in some small way.
My thanks of course go to Geoff Fox, Steve Williams and Michael Bunney, all of whom were instrumental behind the scenes in providing support for this event.
And of course, my thanks go to everyone who help make Gorran Haven such a special and welcoming place and who work in many ways throughout the year (mostly unseen) to ensure the community, and all within it, are well cared for.
